Investigators with York Regional Police Major Crimes Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance with locating a 31-year-old man wanted for Assault and Break and Enter.

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, at approximately 10:45 p.m., police were called to a residence in the area of Keele Street and Davis Drive, in the Township of King, for reports of a break and enter. The suspect attended the residence, assaulted two victims and fled prior to police arrival.

The following day, the suspect returned to the same residence, committed a break and enter and fled prior to police arrival. 

Kenion TAPSIE, 31, of no fixed address is wanted for numerous offences. Police have been unable to locate him and warrants have been issued for his arrest.  Investigators are releasing his image and are appealing to the public for any information on his whereabouts.

The accused is encouraged to seek legal advice and turn himself in. Investigators are reminding the public that anyone providing assistance to him may be subject to criminal charges.

At the time of the offences, TAPSIE was on probation and wanted by both York Regional Police and Kawartha Lakes Police Service.
