Suspects for Identification in Markham Vehicle Arson

Investigators from the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are appealing for witnesses following a vehicle arson in the City of Markham.

On Sunday, June 21, 2026, at approximately 2:10 a.m., officers responded to reports of a vehicle fire on Chant Crescent. When police arrived, they located one vehicle engulfed in flames and a second vehicle that had been damaged by the fire. Markham Fire and Emergency Services extinguished the blaze and determined the fire was the result of arson.

Surveillance footage from the area shows a suspect dressed in black on Chant Crescent.

The investigation is ongoing.

 Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to come forward.
