Investigators with the York Regional Police Guns, Gangs and Drug Enforcement Unit have charged six people and seized drugs and firearms following a lengthy investigation into cocaine trafficking in York Region and the Greater Toronto Area.

The investigation began in 2025, after officers became aware of an individual involved in the trafficking of controlled substances and firearms in York Region and surrounding areas.

Over several months, investigators identified additional suspects and gathered evidence related to the distribution of firearms and controlled substances.

As a result, six suspects have been charged. On July 16, 2026, search warrants were executed at a residence in the Town of Aurora, a residence in the City of Vaughan and a residence in the City of Toronto.

During the investigation, officers seized 28 ounces of cocaine, with an estimated street value of more than $24,000, four firearms, one replica firearm, a vehicle, a motorcycle and $66,000 in cash.
