Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in connection with a sexual assault in the City of Vaughan.

On Thursday, June 25, 2026, at approximately 9 a.m., the victim was in the washroom of a restaurant in the area of Keele Street and Rutherford Road. The victim was approached by an unknown suspect, who touched him for a sexual purpose. The suspect fled the scene after being confronted by the victim.

The suspect is described as male, white, approximately 6 feet tall, with white hair. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, light-coloured pants and a baseball cap. The suspect is believed to frequent the area.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have information, or who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, to contact police.

A sexual assault includes any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature. York Regional Police would like to encourage anyone who feels they may have been a victim of a sexual assault to come forward and report the incident to police. There is no statute of limitations for sexual offences and offenders can be prosecuted well after the date of the offence.
