Suspects for Identification after Retail Robbery in East Gwillimbury

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking the public’s assistance to identify at least two suspects following a commercial robbery in the Town of East Gwillimbury.

On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at approximately 1 a.m., officers responded to reports of a commercial robbery in the area of Woodbine Avenue and Davis Drive.

Two suspects entered a business and demanded cash. One suspect sprayed the victim with an aerosol irritant before the suspects fled on foot with a quantity of cash.

The victim was treated for their injuries at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
