What is a record suspension?
A record suspension (pardon) is a formal recognition that an individual has demonstrated good conduct. When granted, federal agencies must keep records of convictions separate from other criminal records, and the information is removed from the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC).
York Regional Police does not process record suspension applications. Applications must be submitted directly to the Parole Board of Canada.
