Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are appealing for witnesses after three men were charged with numerous offences, including attempted murder, in the City of Richmond Hill.
On Friday, May 16, 2025, at approximately 5:20 a.m., police responded to a hospital in the area of Major Mackenzie Drive West and Yonge Street for the report of a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The female victim had been dropped off at the hospital by two male suspects, who fled the scene. The victim was transported to a trauma centre where her injuries were deemed to be non-life-threatening.
Soon after, police determined the incident occurred at a residential building in the area of Yonge Street and Yongehurst Road.
Search warrants executed at two residences in Richmond Hill resulted in the seizure of two firearms along with a quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine, MDMA, alprazolam, fentanyl and oxycodone.
Three men are now charged with numerous offences.

At the time of the incident, Sergen DINO was on a weapons prohibition order, probation and release orders, for unrelated offences.
Investigators have determined this to be an isolated and there are no concerns for public safety.
Any additional witnesses who may have heard anything in the area of Yonge Street and Yongehurst Road, during the early morning hours of May 16, 2025, are encouraged to come forward.
