Investigators with the York Regional Police Counter Exploitation Unit have charged an adult male and a male youth following an investigation into the trafficking of three underage females.
On January 27, 2026, investigators received information that three missing female youths from the Province of Quebec may be in York Region. There were concerns the victims were being sexually exploited.
Within hours, investigators identified and attended a Richmond Hill residence where the females were believed to be. Shortly after arriving, two female youths were seen leaving the residence with an adult male in a vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and the male was taken into custody.
Concerned for the well-being of the third victim, investigators entered the residence under exigent circumstances. She was safely located and a male youth was taken into custody.
Investigators are releasing the adult male’s photo as they believe there are more victims. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.

- Shaikh SABAHAT, 23, of the City of Toronto
- Male, 17, of the City of Burlington

- Exercise Control, Direction or Influence Under 18 x3
- Householder Permitting Sexual Activity x3
- Fail to Comply with Undertaking
