Multi-jurisdictional Investigation Results in Seizure of 102 Kilograms of Cocaine

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Projects Unit have charged four men and two women after seizing 102 kilograms of cocaine, a loaded firearm and over $135,000 in cash following a three-month investigation.

In October 2025, investigators began looking into suspected cocaine trafficking with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police, South Simcoe Police, Barrie Police, Toronto Police, Durham Regional Police and Correctional Service Canada.

Between October and December 2025, nine search warrants were executed at four residences and five storage lockers across the cities of Toronto, Vaughan and Barrie, as well as the towns of Espanola and Innisfil. An additional search warrant was executed at the Beaver Creek Institution in the Town of Gravenhurst.

As a result of the search warrants and seizures, multiple charges were laid.

  • Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine
  • John NOVAK, 67, of the Town of Espanola
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
