Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have laid Sexual Assault charges against a Pickering man and are appealing for more victims to come forward.
An investigation began on July 19, 2025, when a victim came forward to report a sexual assault that occurred in August 2024. The victim met the suspect through a dating application and they started communicating with each other. When the pair met, the male sexually assaulted the victim.
On July 29, 2025, Andrew DEAN, 26, of the City of Pickering, was charged with one count of Sexual Assault.
Investigators are releasing his photo as they believe there are more victims.
A sexual assault includes any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature. York Regional Police would like to encourage anyone who feels they may have been a victim of a sexual assault to come forward and report the incident to police. There is no statute of limitations for sexual offences and offenders can be prosecuted well after the date of the offence.
