Three Charged in Vaughan Shooting, One Suspect Outstanding

Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged three suspects and are seeking one additional suspect, after shots were fired at a business in the City of Vaughan.

On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at approximately 5 p.m., police responded to a plaza in the area of Milani Boulevard and Highway 27 for a report of a shooting. A black Honda Accord attended the plaza and a suspect fired multiple times at the business before fleeing the scene. The vehicle has since been recovered and was found to be stolen out of the City of Toronto on April 18, 2025.

Investigators have charged three suspects in relation to the shooting.

One suspect remains outstanding and police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying him.   

Charged:

  • Jaziah DIXON, 18, of the Town of East Gwillimbury

Charges:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000.00
  • Discharge Firearm with Intent

 

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine (youth only)

Suspect:

  • Male
  • Heavy build
  • South East Asian
  • Seen wearing a dark hooded sweater and shorts

 

  • Javon DIXON, 18, of the Town of East Gwillimbury
  • A 17-year-old male, of the Town of Newmarket
