CARJACKING INVESTIGATION IN MARKHAM

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking suspects following an armed carjacking in the City of Markham.

On Thursday, April 25, 2024, at approximately 9 p.m., police responded to a carjacking in the area of Highway 7 East and Warden Avenue. The victim was walking to their vehicle when they were approached by two male suspects, armed with at least one firearm and demanded their keys.

Both suspects are described as male, Black, thin build, wearing all back, black masks and gloves. 

Investigators are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. Officers would also like to speak with anyone who may have video surveillance or dashcam footage in the area at the time of the incident.
