The skeletal remains of Phillip Sit were found August 8, 2006 - nearly a year after the 17-year-old went missing. 

His body was discovered by the resident of a rural property near King and Weston Roads in King Township, almost 50 kilometres from his home in Scarborough. Phillip was first reported missing after he told his family he was going out with friends in the early morning hours on Saturday, September 24, 2005, and never returned.

While Phillip's death was determined to the result of a homicide, police have not made the manner of his death public. He was known to frequent Toronto's Kensington Market and Eaton Centre shopping mall and Markham's Pacific Mall at Kennedy Road and Steeles Avenue, and Metro Square at Ferrier Street and Steeles Avenue.
