Man Wanted in 2025 Attempted Murder Investigation in Richmond Hill
Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged two men and are seeking a third suspect in relation to an attempted murder in June 2025 in the City of Richmond Hill.
On June 21, 2025, police attended a parking lot in the area of Yonge Street and May Avenue after receiving multiple reports of an assault-in-progress. When officers arrived, a male victim was located with stab wounds resulting in serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers learned the victim was involved in a road rage incident with another male, who left the scene. Shortly after, while the victim was at a plaza, the same male returned with two other males and all three began assaulting the victim. During the assault, the victim was stabbed by one of the suspects.
One suspect was taken into custody at the scene while the two other suspects fled.
Following a lengthy investigation, a second suspect was charged on May 31, 2026.
Both suspects are facing numerous charges including attempted murder.
The third suspect, Seyed-Houman MIRMOGHTADAEI, of no fixed address, is currently wanted for Attempt to Commit Murder and Aggravated Assault.
He is encouraged to seek legal advice and turn himself in. Investigators are reminding the public that anyone providing assistance to him may be subject to criminal charges.
