One Charged, One Outstanding in Markham Commercial Robbery
Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit have charged a man and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an additional suspect following an armed robbery in the City of Markham.
On May 14, 2026, just before 1 a.m., officers responded to reports of a robbery inside a commercial building, in the area of Warden Avenue and Masseyfield Gate. Two suspects, armed with firearms, entered the premises and stole cash and cellular phones from patrons before fleeing the scene.
There were no physical injuries.
Following a thorough investigation, on June 4, 2026, Ayden Kees POLLMANN, 19, of the City of Toronto, was charged with Robbery with a Firearm and Disguise with Intent.
Additionally, search warrants were executed at two residences associated to POLLMANN.
Investigators are hoping to identify the second suspect. He is described as Asian, standing at approximately 5’7” with a medium build.
