Suspect Charged for Residential Break-and-Enters in Markham

Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a suspect in connection with nine residential break-and-enters in the City of Markham.

Between November 28, 2025, and March 20, 2026, the suspect committed numerous residential break-and-enters during the evening hours in Markham. The suspect forced entry into residences that appeared to be unoccupied and targeted bedrooms for jewelry and designer items.

On March 24, 2026, officers executed two search warrants at residences in the City of Toronto and arrested the suspect.

The suspect vehicle was a black Infinity G37 and police are urging anyone who may have seen a suspicious vehicle matching this description to contact police.

The suspect had been seen in the area of the break-ins without a mask and investigators believe there may be additional victims and witnesses who have not yet spoken to police. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators.

  • Neville Ricky YOUNG, 39, of the City of Toronto

  • Break and Enter Commit x6
  • Break and Enter with Intent x3
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 x4


The investigation is ongoing and investigators anticipate laying additional charges.
