Posted on Thursday October 23, 2025

Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged two suspects and recovered stolen property in connection with an ongoing investigation into daytime residential break and enters across York Region.

On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at approximately 2 p.m., police responded to the report of a residential break and enter in the area of Huronia Place and Riverview Avenue, in the City of Vaughan. A female suspect approached the front door to confirm the residence was empty. Meanwhile, three male suspects entered the rear of the property and forced entry through a sliding glass door.

On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, investigators were conducting surveillance in the area of Woodbine Avenue and Executive Drive, in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. The suspects conducted a break and enter and officers took two suspects into custody.

Investigators are still seeking three additional suspects, two females and one male.

As a result of search warrants executed at residences in the City of Toronto, numerous items have been recovered. A Dropbox folder has been set up with photos of the items that have not yet been claimed. We are asking anyone who was a victim of a residential break and enter between June 2025 to October 2025 to please review the photos and contact police if any of the items belong to you.

There will be a process to verify ownership before collecting any property.
