Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have laid additional voyeurism charges against a Richmond Hill man initially charged in 2024.
On June 15 and September 7 of 2024, a male suspect used a hidden camera to make visual recordings of women in a shopping center in the area of Yonge Street and 16th Avenue in Richmond Hill. On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, police received information that the suspect was in the same shopping center. He was quickly located and arrested.
Adam RUSSO was charged with two counts of Voyeurism and was released with several conditions.
On July 31, 2025, a male was in a store in the area of McCowan Road and Bullock Drive in Markham. Loss prevention personnel recognized him as he was known to film customers. He was then followed by loss prevention to a store in the area of Highway 7 East and Kennedy Road.
While there, he was seen holding a cellular phone underneath the skirt of another female victim. Police arrived soon after and placed him under arrest.
During the investigation, it was learned the suspect attended the same store in the area of McCowan Road and Bullock Drive on July 23, 2025. In that incident, he crouched down beside a female victim and again held his cellular phone underneath her skirt.
Charged: - Adam RUSSO, 41, of City of Richmond Hill
Charges: - Voyeurism x3
- Resist Arrest
- Fail to Comply with Judicial Release Order
