ANTI-SEMITIC BREAK AND ENTER

Members of York Regional Police Hate Crime Prevention Unit are seeking two suspects after an anti-Semitic incident in the City of Markham.

On January 10, 2025, at approximately 2:40 a.m., two suspects broke into a commercial unit in the area of Yonge Street and Doncaster Avenue. The suspects vandalised the property causing significant damage, and left anti-Semitic graffiti on the property.

Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects and are release their photos for recognition. 

Anyone who has information about this crime, or anyone with video recordings from the area around the time of the incident, is urged to contact police.

York Regional Police takes these matters seriously and is reminding the community we will not tolerate any form of hate crime. All reports of hate crime or hate/bias incidents will be investigated thoroughly. If you witness or have been the victim of a hate crime or hate/bias incident, we encourage you to report it to police immediately.
