Investigators with the York Regional Police #1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a woman in connection with multiple thefts in the Town of Aurora.
On February 22, 2026, officers responded to reports of a theft at a residence in Aurora. The victims told police they had hired a nanny in 2025. During the course of her employment, several pieces of jewellery and a large sum of Canadian currency went missing.
A month later on March 6 and 7, 2026 two additional victims notified police that several items including jewellery and Canadian currency had been stolen from their home. In this incident the suspect had been hired through a social media platform to clean their house.
On March 10, 2026, 36-year-old Jessie GOULET of the Town of Whichurch-Stouffville was arrested and charged in connection with both incidents.

- Theft Over $5000 x 3
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 x 3
Investigators are releasing images of the accused as they believe there may be additional victims. Anyone with information related to this incident is urged to contact police.
